BARNSLEY v BLACKBURN 17.02.21
Barnsley are back in action, as Blackburn Rovers visit Oakwell. Barnsley will be high in confidence after an excellent performance against Chelsea followed by a 2-0 win on Sunday at Brentford. Blackburn come into this game after a 2-1 defeat against Brentford.
Both side sit in the top half of the table, 39 points each, Blackburn having the higher goal difference.
Last time out, Blackburn ran out 2-1 winners at Ewood Park. Meanwhile last time at Oakwell, Barnsley took all three points against Blackburn.
A one to watch out for, a real battle for one side to push closer to the playoffs! Any side could snatch this one, perhaps we could see a draw?
I think that it will be a close game with the winning team only winning by one or two goals.
I think Barnsley will play a 3,4,3 after a promising result at Brentford and decent results in the last couple of weeks and I think Blackburn will play 4,3,3 even though the resent results have proven that it doesn’t work with our team .
With Barnsley on form this will be a very hard game for Blackburn to win but we have to be winning these games to get into the playoff spots.
In the end, I hate to say it, but I think Barnsley will just edge this game with the bad run of form that rovers have been on, my final score prediction is 2-1 to Barnsley with an Adam Armstrong goal but Im not sure who would score for Barnsley.
Last time out it was 2-1 to us but seeing as Barnsley are in good form it will be a lot harder and a more interesting match seeing as they have just broken Brentford's 21 game winning streak, away at the Brentford community stadium.
It will be a lot more challenging and their new signing Dike is one of there most dangerous men as he is really strong and good in the air, he can also score goals as we saw last season in the MLS. In 17 games for Orlando he scored 8 goals with 3 assists he can be a dangerous man so he will be the one to look out for.
I think it will be a 1-1 draw.
