CAMBRIDGE UTD v CHELTENHAM TOWN 23.02.21

Gonna be a massive game tomorrow at the Abbey Stadium as FGR have a chance to overtake us if we don’t get the 3 points. Gonna be a tough one, especially as we’re still without Digby and Boateng. Wes Hoolahan will also probably be rested which is a blow. Cheltenham are a strong physical side so it’ll be hard to find our way past their defence. It will be massive if we can get a win tomorrow and try and pull away from other teams. My prediction is 1-1 with goals from Joe Ironside and Alfie May.

It’s first vs third in League Two, as top of the table Cambridge United host Cheltenham. The hosts come into the game on the back of beating Mansfield 3-0, but have also suffered a 0-0 draw against Southend and a 4-1 thrashing by Salford recently, and therefore can be quite a little inconsistent.

Cheltenham however come in after their first loss of 2021, at the hands of Bradford. When the two sides met in November, the U’s rescued a very late point, Mullin scoring in the 95th minute, in a game that Cheltenham largely dominated, but lacked the finishing touch. It is shaping up to be a tough game for Town at the Abbey Stadium, with the fans looking for a reaction from the disappointing loss on Saturday.
