Usually when teams from lower leagues play against bigger clubs they tend to go full defensive, I honestly feel that we stand more of a chance playing our usual football. In terms of injuries/suspensions there isn’t any “first teamers” out as such. We could potentially see Daryl Dike who’s on loan from Orlando make an appearance whether that’s off the bench or starting not too sure. Liam Kitching who hasn’t made his debut yet is still out with an Injury. Carlton Morris is cup tied and therefore unavailable.
Given our current form I think we could give Chelsea a good run for their money. Hopefully Chelsea could be kind and put out their B team, although their B team is still miles better than our first team.
Callum Styles & Callum Britain could become key players for us today as they can unlock the wings where we’ve looked fantastic recently. Mowatt & Kane are also very important to our game with them sitting in front of Chelsea’s Box picking up any scraps & then hitting a worldie into the top bins (I wish)
I’ve got a foot in dream world & my other foot in reality, I’m hoping for a nice 2-0 win for the reds, but I think it’ll end up 3-0 to Chelsea. As long as it doesn’t end up like it did last time.
Chelsea will be without the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva, as all of them are injured. That won't be such a big blow though because the team has been performing greatly under Tuchel. Ziyech and Kante are set to start tonight, and I believe Ziyech will have a huge impact on the game. Two other players that Barnsley should be looking out for are CHO and Abraham. Hudson-Odoi has been phenomenal since Tuchel got appointed, and he can be a game changer.
Tammy is a real threat up front and he'll most probably get on the scoresheet with a brace. CHO will score as well and the final score will be 3-1, as Barnsley will be able to score in their effort to snatch the win
