STOKE V SWANSEA 03.3.21
The swans travel to stoke tonight , the potters have been a bogey side for the swans over the years and now isn’t a great time to play them.
Despite bouncing back from the thrashing in our last away game the swans suffered defeat again on Saturday to Nigel Pearson’s Bristol city , they took the lead from the penalty spot early in the second half after a sustained period of dominance throughout the whole of the first half , goals from Wells , Palmer and a late third saw the swans taste defeat at home for the first time since October. But it’s time to put that behind us and stop the slide , a strong performance on Saturday despite defeat leaves me optimistic tonight , a win tonight would be a huge statement win and massive in the course of our season. The home side also lost despite taking the lead away at Brentford on Saturday , they are enjoying a better season when compared to recent ones , Michael O’Neil has helped take the potters in the right direction this season & they will be hoping to make a late play off push , they have ex swans Joe Allen and Sam Clucas in their ranks and they are both players that we must watch out for.
The swans ran out 2-0 winners the last time these sides faced , a Tuesday night victory under the liberty lights thanks to goals from Jay Fulton and Kasey Palmer, the swans also had an indirect free kick in that game after a pass back to Angus Gunn.
MY VERDICT
If the swans put in the same performance as they did in the first half of Saturdays match then they will win 3-0 , but I can’t see that happening , I do think that we will bounce back tonight and put in a solid performance.

Swansea’s recent form has been very shaky however could be blamed on fatigue. It’s very evident but our manager has come out saying that tiredness is irrelevant in a season with so many games which is a very strange thing to say. We really must bounce back soon if we want automatic promotion to be a reality however playing through the fatigue is bad for the team in my opinion. Stoke know how to grind out a result so a energetic start is needed, something we haven’t had in a while. We need a point at minimum in this game but my confidence couldn’t be less. My prediction is Stoke 2-1 Swansea
So swansea its gonna be a tough game very tough game a very good team pushing for promotion just like us they are an underrated team imo but i truly do think we can get a result my predictions for the game is 2-1 stoke powell and thompson to score for us and andre ayew for the swans if they need to look out for players it would have to be nick powell and steven fletcher because powell will make anyone foul him get a dangerous free kick or pen and he is very good at dribbling and can get in behind and score then fletcher i just wouldnt let him shoot in the box but it will be an end to end game hopefully we come out on top UTMP 🔴⚪️
