ROTHERHAM v NOTTINGHAM FOREST 23.02.21
Nottingham Forest will be looking to extend the gap between themselves and the relegation drop zone when they face 22nd placed Rotherham at the New York Stadium
.
17th placed Forest currently sit 7 points clear of the relegation zone but opponents Rotherham who currently occupy the final relegation spot have 2 games in hand meaning a loss tonight could drag Forest back into the relegation scrap.
The visitors go into the game in good form having picked up 17 points from the last 9 Championship games keeping 5 clean sheets along the way. Meanwhile, the hosts Rotherham have lost their last 3 Championship games following their back-to-back wins against Derby and Preston.
Forest will be missing Lewis Grabban, Scott McKenna, Samba Sow, Sammy Ameobi and Harry Arter through injury. Chris Hughton has a few selection dilemmas most noticeably at left back between Yuri Ribeiro and Gaetan Bong and whether or not to give Ryan Yates his first start following injury. Striker Lyle Taylor may also start his first league game since December after 37-year-old Glenn Murray started at the weekend in the 1-0 victory over Blackburn.
Rotherham hope to have key midfielder Matt Crooks and Ben Wiles back from injury but Jamie Lindsay and Chiedozie Ogbene will miss out.
I’m going for a 2-0 Forest prediction as I think the Reds’ quality will be too much for the hosts particularly now Forest seem to be playing with confidence. Forest were unlucky not to take the 3 points in the reverse 1-1 fixture at The City Ground but I’m backing Forest to make amends this time around!

Big big game for nffc as we face Rotherham in this mad relegation battle. A very unpredictable side that often come out of their shell to shock teams. Our key player krovinovic, Rotherham's Crookes a tall midfielder who always battles in the centre. Going into the game forest sit 17th making our way up the table and Rotherham sit 22nd but with a couple games in hand. Forest have 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games and Rotherham have lost their last 3. My prediction 2-0 forest Knockaert and Murray goals
This week we have a match vs Forest at home I think both teams will be going for it with us trying to get out of the bottom 3 again as we dropped into 22nd on Saturday with Birmingham’s 1-0 win at pigboro stadium.
The last time the two teams met earlier on in the season it was a 1-1 draw with Sammy Ameobi cancelling out Dan Barlasers Early second half penalty late on.... Forrest are in very good form at the minute so we’re we until we played 3 very in form teams I think we will give this game a good go and if we can win and Birmingham loose we’re back out the drop zone so that will be good if we can get all 3 points Forest will be looking to move further up the table as they have realistically got away from the relegation zone so they can focus on moving up the table. Come on lads let’s pick up 3 valuable points and move out of that relegation zone hopefully.
My score prediction is Rotherham 2-1 Forest
